On May 25 and May 26, Colonel David Glantz will deliver lectures entitled
“The Battle of Stalingrad:  Myths and Realities.”  During these lectures, he will talk about
the conclusions he has reached about the famous battle, in particular,
those contained in his just complete volume 3 on the Soviet Uranus Offensive
and the subsequent destruction of German Sixth Army.







Col. Glantz is a military historian who has served on the faculty of the United States
Military Academy, The Combat Studies Institute and the U.S. Army War College.
His field service included field artillery assignments with the 24th Infantry Division
(Mechanized) in Europe and II Field Force artillery in Vietnam.
He also served Intelligence assignments with the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence in
the US Army Europe.  Col. Glantz is a noted author and recognized as one of America’s
leading scholars on the Eastern Front during World War II.

Saturday, May 25
the Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
with a 2:00 p.m. lecture by Col. Glantz.

Sunday, May 26
the Museum will be open from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
with a 2:00 p.m. lecture by Col. Glantz.

MEMORIAL DAY
Monday, May 27
the Museum will be open at 10:00 a.m.
Eldred’s Memorial Day parade will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m.
The Memorial Service is derived
from the Army-Navy Service Manual of 1941
and will include a time to remember the life and contributions
of the Museum’s Founder and Board Chair, Tim Roudebush.
The Memorial Service will be followed by a light reception.
